What is the Char Dham Yatra?

What is the Char Dham Yatra?

The Char Dham Yatra is the Hindu pilgrimage to four Himalayan shrines in Uttarakhand's Garhwal region: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. It is traditionally done west to east, in that order.

How many days do you need for the Char Dham Yatra?

Ten to twelve days by road from Haridwar or Rishikesh, including buffer days. Kedarnath and Yamunotri involve treks (or ponies, palkis and, for Kedarnath, helicopters).

What is the best time for the Char Dham Yatra?

The shrines open around late April or May and close around October–November. May–June and September–October are the usual windows. Avoid July–August, when monsoon landslides close roads.

How do you reach the start of the Char Dham Yatra?

The yatra starts from Haridwar or Rishikesh, 5–6 hours from Delhi by road. Dehradun's Jolly Grant Airport is the nearest airport. Registration with the Uttarakhand government is mandatory.

How does Kudozz Club plan a Char Dham trip?

You share your dates, budget range and interests through the enquiry form. Our in-house team builds a day-by-day Char Dham itinerary around that and discusses it with you by email. Nothing is a fixed package.

Can I change the route or duration?

Yes. Add or drop places, extend the trip, change the pace or combine it with a neighbouring state. The routes on this page are starting points, not fixed departures.

Why don't you show package prices?

Because the price depends on your dates, hotel category, group size and how you travel between places. Rather than advertise a 'starting from' price that changes later, we quote for your actual trip.
